Kiki Cuyler hit for the cycle and had 5 RBI and Pat Malone tossed a complete
game as the Chicago Cubs defeated the struggling Boston Braves by a score of
7 to 3 at Wrigley Field.

Cuyler was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He banged out a
single in the 2nd inning, doubled which scored a run in the 4th inning,
tripled plating two runs in the 6th inning and bombed a two-run dinger (his
1st of the season) in the 8th inning. Chicago rapped out 10 hits for the
afternoon.

Malone(2-2), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ed
Brandt(2-2) was hit with the loss. He gave up 8 hits and no walks in 6
innings.

The Chicago ballclub's record now stands at 10-5. Bill McKechnie was unhappy
with his club's recent performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he said.
'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.
