Pittsburgh won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3















hits. Earl Grace led off the inning for Pittsburgh when he lashed a single.















Woody Jensen came to the plate and slapped a single, and an error was also















committed. Lloyd Waner then laced a base-hit resulting in an exciting win















for Pittsburgh and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.















Pittsburgh finished with 18 hits while Philadelphia ended up with 15.































Ralph Birkofer(13-7) got the win allowing 1 run in 4 and 2/3 innings. Cy
