"There Goes the Pennant," Laments Yankees Skipper
Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig was hit in the head by a wild pitch from Norfolk Tars pitcher Ray White. Gehrig, who laid on the ground unconscious for five minutes before being taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion, is expected to miss at least a few games starting with today's with the Washington Senators, breaking his streak of consecutive games started.
