The score was tied at 4 after nine. Boston came out on top in the 12th inning. After an out was recorded, Billy Werber started the rally when he tripled. Almada stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a one-base hit resulting in a run. Almada took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. After another out, Dusty Cooke stepped up to the plate and he reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning. Boston had a total of 12 hits for the game. The winning pitcher was Herb Pennock(5-2) who allowed no runs in 5 innings. Bob Weiland(9-6) ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 3 innings and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
