Tom Zachary(4-9) pitched a fine game. He allowed 6 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings. Les Munns relieved and was untouched by New York as he recorded the save, his 4th. Roy Parmelee(6-6) took the loss. The win by Brooklyn is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in recent days. Their record now stands at 49-76 - only 2-8 in their last ten games. After an out was recorded, Ed Brandt came up and he lined a one-base hit, and an error was also committed, scoring the run. Boston rapped out 7 hits for the afternoon.
