New York never recovered after Boston took the lead in the 5th inning scoring one runner. Boston managed 9 in their victory. Johnson(5-3) allowed 1 run on the game. Red Ruffing(9-8) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 9 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. CHICAGO AT ST.
