Joe Medwick collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the sizzling St.



Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs in 11 innings by the score of 8 to



7 at Wrigley Field.







The score was tied at 7 after nine. Finally, St. Louis pulled the game out in



the 11th inning. Medwick tripled. Pat Malone then had one get away for a



wild pitch scoring the run. St. Louis had 13 hits for the afternoon.







The victory was credited to Jim Mooney(4-7) who went 5 innings, allowing 3



runs. Malone(11-9) was hit with the loss in relief.
