Benge(12-15) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Cincinnati batters. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and 3 walks in 9
innings. Brooklyn finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Paul Derringer(10-15) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and 9
