The Philadelphia Phillies easily topped the Brooklyn Dodgers; the final score

was 15 to 9.

Reggie Grabowski(1-5) was reasonably effective in relief and got credit with

the victory. He was reached for 6 hits and 1 walk in 3 innings.

Philadelphia kept the scorekeepers busy in the 8th inning which saw them

plate 6 runs on 5 hits. Philadelphia kept the pressure on throughout the

contest as they scored in 6 different innings.

Van Lingle Mungo(9-9) suffered the loss. He was unable to control the

Philadelphia offense and allowed 15 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
